Linden Boys, Swartz Creek and Holly Girls Are FML CC Champs

On a challenging new course and in perfect running weather at Linden High School, the Linden boys' cross country team capped a dominating league season with a victory in the FML meet, while Swartz Creek and Holly found their girls' teams tied for first after a league meet as close as the girls' dual meet season had been.

Holly and Brandon came into the girls' meet with 8-1 dual meet records, with Swartz Creek and Linden a step behind at 7-2. The Dragons came through in the big meet with 69 points, and Holly nipped Brandon 81 to 82 to earn a co-championship. Dual meet records and the league meet finish are equally weighted to determine overall Flint Metro League final standings.

Linden's boys claimed five of the top ten individual finishes to score 30 points and easily repeat as FML champs after a 9-0 dual meet season.
