Oxford Wins League Wrestling Meet and Overall Title

Defending wrestling co-champions from 2007 finished within 17 points of each other in this year's league meet, with the Oxford Wildcats nipping the Holly Bronchos 190.5 to 173.5 to win both the meet and the overall Flint Metro League title for 2008. Oxford had finished a perfect 8-0 in league dual matches, and claimed medals in 9 out of 14 weight classes in the FML meet (two firsts, four seconds and three thirds). Holly medaled in 8 weight classes with three firsts, four seconds and one third. Linden, Clio and Lapeer East each had two individual champions as all ten schools won at least one medal.
