Linden Girls Golf Repeats As FML Champions

Linden's girls golf team will have the unique distinction of winning two league championships in the same calendar year. Like Holly's boys tennis team, the Eagles repeated as Flint Metro League champions after seeing their playing season change from spring to fall.

By finishing second in the league tournament to Lapeer West, Linden capitalized on its perfect 7-0 dual match league record to edge the Panthers, who entered the tournament with two dual losses.

Lapeer West sophomore Catherine Benscoter was tournament medalist after shooting an 80, one shot better than Fenton's Lauren Campbell.
