FML Captains Gather at Fenton HS

128 athletic team leaders from the ten Flint Metro League member schools met at Fenton High School on August 31st for a Captains Clinic. The Michigan High School Athletic Association (MHSAA), along with Michigan State University's Youth in Sports Institute, presented this year's pre-school gathering of FML student-athlete leaders.

This was the twelfth consecutive year that the FML has sponsored an activity for its schools' team leaders early in the school year. Past keynote speakers have included MHSAA executive director Jack Roberts and former University of Michigan coach Brian Ellerbe. More recently, retired athletic Dave Dye from the Ruster Foundation has facilitated student leadership workshops for the Metro League.
