FML Wrestlers Bring Home Four State Championships Among 14 Medalists

The Flint Metro League had an outstanding showing at the MHSAA individual wrestling championships held at the Palace of Auburn Hills. Four FML wrestlers were crowned with championships in their weight classes: Josh Houldsworth (145 pounds) and Jake Hyde (160) from Holly in Division 1; Phillip Joseph (171) of Lapeer East and Dylan Smith of Oxford (285) in Division 2.

The Flint Metro League had 33 total wrestlers participate in the state individual wrestling championships. List The individual championships came one week after Oxford finished second in the Division 2 team championships.
