Oxford Repeats As FML Wrestling Champion
Oxford High School won its third consecutive Flint Metro League wrestling championship and fourth overall, capping a perfect dual season with a dominating performance in the league tournament held at Kearsley High School. The Wildcats had three individual champions, five runners-up and five third places, medaling at every weight class except 135 pounds. Oxford's 248.5 points was the highest ever for a league tournament, topping the 221 points scored by Fenton in 1990.
Along with Oxford's three individual champions, Clio and Lapeer East also claimed three individual crowns apiece. Every FML school medaled in the tournament.
The final league standings, including tournament scoring, can be found by going to the "Current Standings" page on the drop-down menu under "Championships" at the top of this page. A list of the top three finishers in the league tournament can be found by going to "This Year's All-League", also under "Championships".
